How to learn German with games without wasting time
A useful language game trains a defined skill, gives clear feedback and sends uncertain words somewhere they will return.
Choose the game for the skill
Matching builds fast recognition, listening practice connects sound to spelling, and a level check samples breadth. None replaces producing a word without options, so use Study for long-term recall.
Accuracy before speed
A timer can sharpen access to known words, but guessing faster is not fluency. Learn the set first, then use speed as a second challenge.
Make mistakes productive
A score alone disappears. Carry missed words into a focused Study session, hear them again and retrieve them after other cards have intervened.
Stop while the feedback is useful
Short rounds keep attention on each correction. Replay the fixed benchmark only while you are still reading each answer; otherwise switch to a full game or Study when you notice yourself tapping by shape.
